I am a horse-riding, football-loving journalist from Kent. I was diagnosed with coeliac disease four years ago and, after settling to a new diet, got bogged down in eating the same old thing, day after day (it was all stuff I liked but, honestly, there’s only so often you can eat the same three meals!)

Then I realised just how much else was out there…

I work hard and spend a lot of time looking after and riding Dave (my horse!) I love vegetables, fruit and chocolate (not necessarily in that order) and like to imagine I cook with them in creative ways, although my friends would probably substitute the word “weird” for “creative” in the above sentence…

This is Dave.

He can be a bit hysterical at times (!) but he’s brilliant, bless him. This is us at Towerlands last April. At least one of us is photogenic, even if it’s not me!
